The SRQ-Plein Air Painters’ Mission is to capture and preserve Sarasota and the surrounding communities by painting historic and disappearing architecture and landscapes.
Oil Painters of America (OPA) is a not-for-profit organization representing more than 4,000 artists throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. Founded in 1991, OPA is dedicated to preserving and promoting excellence in representational art. Its primary focus is to draw attention to the lasting value of fine drawing, color, composition and the appreciation of light.
Coquina Beach offers wonderful views of the water, boats, and classic beach scenes, as well as fully accessible parking facilities, a restaurant, restrooms and picnic areas.
If you appreciate the art of landscape, as a collector or curious member of the public, you will enjoy seeing the artists at work and learning about their craft.
The SRQ Plein Air Painters are sponsored by Renaissance School of Art in Sarasota. Works of plein air artists are featured in the School Gallery throughout the year and can be enjoyed by appointment. Renaissance School is located at 4063 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL. Call us (941) 330-6865 to schedule your visit or email to firstname.lastname@example.org
