MYAKKA RIVER Paint Out – Part Of The SRQPAP Campaign
“Preserve The History And Nature With The Paintbrush!”
Sponsored by Friends of Myakka River and Renaissance School of Art
Portion of the proceeds from art sale will benefit Maykka River State Park
FEBRUARY 18, 9AM – 7 PM
Myakka River State Park is one of Florida’s largest and most diverse natural areas. One of Florida’s Wild and Scenic rivers, the Myakka River flows through 57 square miles of wetlands, prairies, hammocks, and pinelands. The river and its two shallow lakes attract a myriad of wetland creatures, making birding, canoeing, fishing, and wildlife observation popular activities.
The Friends of Myakka River are delighted to have artists from around the state record the charm of the natural beauty of Myakka River and the Park. Perhaps these images will compel others to visit this amazing statewide natural resource we have available to us all.
