Cruise into history with Vlad and Norwegian Sky by joining this exciting 4 day painting cruise to the frozen in time island. 
Vlad will be leading a group of workshop participants around Havana and teaching all medium workshop with the focus on composition, values and textures.
Workshop includes:
two 3h painting sessions (one each day) in Havana ;
one 3h painting session in Bahamas;
one session on board and
plenty of time to pick up Vlad’s brain during other times!
Workshop fee is $300 and limited to 10 people.

Level: all levels but some prior experience with watercolor is necessary.

What is required to quit tight illustrative coloring? All of this and many other techniques will be the subject of this intensive workshop on location. Vlad will share with you his best approaches to working outdoors starting with location and “point of view” so to speak. It will all start with his demo with detailed explanation along the way. Special attention of this particular workshop will be the choice of color which may be different from what’s there. Loose painterly style watercolor techniques will be demoed as well. Vlad will show you disciplined approach to step by step process at the same time. Starting from the sketch to the finishing touches, the values and how to work with them will be revealed. You will also learn how to add imaginary details to your painting and make it vibrant. Every day of this workshop include an informative lesson during the demonstration in Vladislav’s typical funny and charismatic style. Each student will be guided individually through the process while creating their own painting. Space is limited to 12 participants. Every day will be round up with group critique.

Students will need to bring their art supply, plenty of water and lunch bag. Plein Air Workshops will meet on location which will be provided to participants after registration. In case of uncooperative weather Studio will be available.

Day 1 – We meet at the Studio.

Day 2 and 3 – Location TBA to participants.

You can attend just 1 or 2 days.

Fee: $365 for 3 days or $140 per day.

All Medium. Demos will be in watercolor.

Bridges of CumberlandThe ultimate goal of this workshop is understanding of perspective, light and values and applying it to a practical scenario working in studio and on plein air for creating believable 3D feel on the 2D surface. This method works for every medium. You will also learn how to sort and edit nature’s often overwhelming visual detail into dramatic compositions.
This workshop will cover the perspective theory during the first day working primarily in Studio from photographs and diagrams. Second and third days students will work outside practicing through drawing and painting series of exercises progressing from simple views to more complex settings. We will visit and paint the most spectacular places in Sarasota.
Each participant will receive plenty of one-on-one instructions. There will be a short lunch break in the middle of the day and demos as needed.
