SRQPAP invites you to join our open paint out to help raise funds for Sarasota Youth Sailing Program.
The art created during the Quick Draw will be framed, judged, and sold off the easel immediately following the announcements of the awards.

Awards are not finalized yet and will depend on the number of participants and contributing sponsors.
9-10 am – Registrations and stamping canvases
10 am – 12pm Painting
12pm – Setting up “Off Easel” for judging and selling
12pm – 2pm – food and drinks for artists
1pm – Award announcing
1pm – 3pm – Sales
3 pm – Pick up unsold works
April 6th The Renaissance School of Art with the SRQ Plein Air Painters, will host a ‘quick draw’ (paintings created in less than 2 hours) event: ‘SAILING WITH THE PAINT BRUSH’ as a fund raising benefit for the Sarasota Sailing Squadron. The event is FREE to the public with all the art created in the morning being offered for sale, starting in the afternoon, at the Sarasota Sailing Squadron, 1717 Ken Thompson Parkway, next to Ken Thompson Park on City Island.
open to all plein air artists in all 2D mediums; limited to first 30 artists.

Entry fee: $30

- After signing up, visit our Facebook page at …. and post your works previously painted at Sailing Squadron together with BIO and short statement. No advertisement of any kind. We reserve the right to delete any inappropriate posts.
Artwork must be for sale. In the event of sale, artists will receive 60% of final price. 30% of sales will be donated to Sarasota Youth Sailing Program, the rest will cover expenses occurred in preparation of this paint out, processing and other fees. We are asking you to bring an additional painting created at Sailing Squadron previously (not eligible for awards) for the showcase. It will required stand or small table easel to exhibit your work while you are painting in the field.
